David Wen

Computational/Experimental Graduate Researcher

David Wen completed his BS in Quantitative Biology with a minor in Computer Science at the University of Southern California, where his research focused on bone regeneration and heart development in zebrafish. He is currently a graduate student in the Developmental and Stem Cell Biology Program at UCSF, joint within the Theodoris and Shipman Labs, and he is a 2022 NSF Graduate Research Fellow. In his graduate research, he is focusing on developing computational and experimental approaches to study gene regulation during cell fate transitions. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, playing tennis, snowboarding, and playing video games.
