Wren Saylor

Computational Graduate Researcher

Wren Saylor completed her undergraduate degree in Computational Biology at Hampshire College where she studied the oscillatory processes at the growing tip of pollen tubes. Following graduation, she worked at the Church and Wu labs at Harvard Medical School, looking at cell fate and ultraconserved elements respectively. Now a graduate student in the Biological and Medical Informatics Program at UCSF, joint within the Tcheandjieu and Theodoris Labs, she is applying self-supervised deep learning models to cardiac MRI imaging coupled with EHR data to better understand heart disease phenotypes. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing short fiction, and watercolor painting.
